Tiny people were calling for help from various parts of Sarah's body (nostrils, navel, lips, boobs, etc.) while she was napping.
They who could move tried to wake her up, but they were too small to reach her.
So they thought of going inside her ear and reaching her eardrum to call out to her. However, her earhole was a vast cave to them.
Huge ear hair as big as trees and ear wax as big as a mountain blocked their path. To reach her eardrum, they had to avoid the ear hairs and dig through the ear wax.
It would take some time for tiny people to wake up Sarah, "the giantess."
