Lex Luther hired the villain Dwarfstar to sneak into the fortress of and steal the newly discovered colors of Kryptonite: Purple, Cobalt, Speckled, and Rainbow. Superman was away on a rescue mission, so it was a perfect time to steal them. Having the ability to shrink allowed Dwarfstar to sneak in undetected.

He found the lab containing the new Kryptonite and proceeded to take the Kryptonite. Everything was going off without a hitch until a beaker was knocked over and smashed. With Superman away, Dwarfstar didn't think about it but hadn't taken into account that Kara Zor-El Supergirl was staying at the fortress.

With her super hearing, she entered the lab thinking Krypto was searching was something in there. When she got there and saw the light was on and no , she used her X-ray vision, and she spotted the tiny villain.

Dwarfstar knew he was in trouble and remembered that Kryptonians are weak to Kryptonite. He pulled out the Cobalt Kryptonite and stood by her slippered feet. He held up the Cobalt Kryptonite, hoping she would fall. But Kryptonians are weak to Green Kryptonite. The Cobalt has much more different effect.

Supergirl started looking taller than she already did to the miniature villain. The sound of fabric tearing could be heard. As Dwarfstar looked, Supergirl's toes had torn open her slippers and started moving closer to the the villain. Realizing his mistake, Dwarfstar turned around and ran as fast as he could, Supergirl tried to reach down and grab him but was having more difficulty with her increasing size.
