There is only one main rule in Theasis: always pay the tribute to the conclave.
Two high priestesses make an example of what happens if you don't. Unarmed, they take the mighty army of an opposing king and simply walk all over them to reach the royal so that they can unceremoniously crush him like a bug. The same fate awaits the army, kingdom, and every cattle, house, and field within his borders. Only a few survivors will be left alive to spread the story.
Hopefully this will never happen again...
